BaaS Project was presented in the GreenerBuildings 2013 workshop

On April 23th, 2013, the BaaS project took part in the GreenBuildings project workshop celebrated in Eindhoven. This event is a workshop organized by the GreenBuildings project to explore new applications of GreenerBuildings technology that can add value to your organization and research.

GreenBuildings project sets up a consortium including universities and industrial partners. The main goal is the development of a holistic, activity-aware framework for saving energy and enhancing occupant comfort in commercial buildings. For that purpose, the use of installed and novel sensors is part of the context in order to recognise occupant activities.

The workshop examined the trends in intelligent buildings and evaluated the different types of technologies and services that GreenerBuildings can offer from various perspectives (building owner, facility manager, BMS provider, etc). Thus, the expertises presented their achievements in every field.

Within the topics offered, BaaS was included in the Energy management/savings service which discusses how activity awareness of the GreenBuildings system could provide new possibilities for energy savings.
