BaaS project was presented in the 2nd Vocamp

Adapt4EE - Occupant Aware, Intelligent and Adaptive Enterprises

Members of the BaaS project were attending the 2nd Vocabulary Camp in Brussels, Belgium (21-22 February 2013). This event, organized in the context of the Adapt4EE European-funded project (FP7), was focused on eeBuildings Data Models, Building Information Modelling, and specially on enriching BIM models used during design phases for enhanced energy performance analysis and simulation.

In total, more than thirty experts around Europe participated to the workshop. The main discussion in the workshop was around open BIM modelling and its enrichment using open standards such as IFC from buildingSMART in order to support enhanced building performance analysis in the whole life-cycle of a building. The first day devoted in the latest status and developments in BIM modelling, mainly targeting the open BIM standard IFC (current status and future steps), whereas the key challenges in BIM modelling in various levels (technical and business perspectives) have been discussed, analyzed and concluded in details during the 2nd day of the workshop.
